Recommended problems from Exercise Sets 2.4-2.5 (in Faires & DeFranza)
Section 2.4:
- Do a few from the group 1-6.
- Do a few from the group 7-14.
- Do a few from the group 15-20.
- 21 and 22 are good problems that differ mostly in how
functions f and g are presented.
- Do 23 or 24.
- Do 25 or 26.
- Do 27 or 28.
- The material of Section 2.5 should make 29 very easy.
- If you can do 30 and 31, you are demonstrating some aptitude
in math.
- 32 is an interesting problem.
- In each part of 33, the authors are asking what relationships must
hold beween a, b, c, and d
in order for the stated condition to be true.
- Do 35 or 36.
Section 2.5:
- Do 1-6.
- Do at least a few from among 7-14.
- Do 15-18.
- Do 19-24.
- Do at least a few from among 25-36.
- Do a few from 37-41.
- 41 is not hard.
